This is a long shot, but.....did you FTP the dump file after export and
before import? Did you remember to set BINARY mode before transferring
the file?

Subject: export (7.3.2) and import (9.2.0.4)

Hi,
I have been getting error during export(Oracle 7.3.2) and Import on=20
(9.2.0.4).
When I used DIRECT=3DY & recordlength export on 7.3.2 version works
fine.But=20
when I 'm using same export file to import on Linux 9.2.0.4 it 's showing=20
following error
IMP-00020: long column too large for column buffer size (7)
IMP-00018: partial import of previous table completed: 40500 rows
imported
. . importing table "M_REPORT " 0 rows imported
. . importing table "APP_END_USER " 43683 rows imported
. . importing table "LI_APPLICATION "
IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file
IMP-00018: partial import of previous table completed: 595 rows imported

When I selecting that table on oracle 7.3.2 version with SUBMISSION_date

COLUMN its showing error after 40500 rows.
"RROR:
ORA-00600 (See ORA-00600.ora-code.com): internal error code, arguments: [], [], [], [], [], [], [],
[] "
No trace file generated.
ANALYZE works fine,dbv runs fine on those datafiles.
I have tested all combination of DIRECT=3DY ,COMPRESS=3DN & recordlength
option=20
but ONLY this options work fine during export but when I was importing=20
noticed same error on same table.
the table select on source database on that table works fine without ONE

columns SUBMISSION_DATE.Even select work fine uptol 40500 rows with=20
submission_date.Noticed error after 40500 rows.
RROR:
ORA-00600 (See ORA-00600.ora-code.com): internal error code, arguments: [], [], [], [], [], [], [],
[]

please advice.
thanks
