Thanks I found it. For some reason basic search can not find =
"kopi2_readlen083" but Advanced search can (at least when combined with =
ORA-600 (See ORA-600.ora-code.com)).  Perhaps Oracle ought to invest in a Google search box.

It's a bug (3041387) fixed in 9.2.0.5.
